The executive kitchen
What's he big deal? We have one customer, a large worldwide company, that does not allow us on the executive floor during working hours. I have to have an escort which is understandable due to security issues. Can only be serviced between 6:00pm-6:00am. Another customer who shall also remain nameless also, makes a big deal of it. They have an inhouse guy who doesn't work on ice machines. I had to replace a txv on a hoshi last week in the executive kitchen. I put all of my tools and such on a flatbed and get escorted to the kitchen and I'm left there. If I need to leave for any reason, includng a potty break, I pick up the phone and call for an escort. When I was being escorted out, one of the engineers started telling me the rules he followed for the last 20 years when working on the executive floor. #1 When you walk down the hall, look at your shoes. #2 Don't talk to the biotches. #3 Get off thee floor as fast as possible. #486 ...and of course, don't steal anything.
Are these executives that horrible?Local 597 Service Fitter

Usually a chef or manager that comes up with such nonsense. As long as they are not disrespectful to me I don't much care about stupid rules I just do my thing and get paid. If they wanna pay me over or double time to make themselves feel important that's cool. I'll take their money. But I am not above reminding them that they called me and asked me to help them if they get alittle uppity.

I wish I knew the co. so I could sell any stocks related to them. Just another example of out of touch "leaders".

You could have "them" take it off the floor and on to the dock so you could pull right up and work but all the hottest girls work on that floor so its a toss up

Oh forgot the dock next to the bum pizzing on the dumpster don't want you either.
At least you don't need a key for the bathroom there. If You Can Dodge A Wrench You Can Dodge A Ball

Sounds pretty similar to what we have to go thru to get into a secret or top secret area. No phones, radios, no looking around. Not fun but we do what we have to do to get the all mighty dollar. Luckily enough for you guys, you can charge extra for your trouble.

The first customer I mentioned has bomb sniffing dogs go thru the truck before I can pull into the dock. Then 2 additional security checkpoints before I meet the escort. They pay the bills and don't question anything. The 2nd customer employs upwards of 6000 people at the coporate campus. They one of the largest full service kitchens I have ever been in plus 3 satelite kitchens and a food court with a couple franchise restaurants. As I stated before their in house guys do all but the ice machine work.
I do work in kitchens for a number of other nationwide companies that are headquartered in the Chicago area, but aside from cameras watching your every move, there isn't much else.
Makes me wonder when these exceutives have their home equipment serviced do they leave the house before the tech arrives? LOLLocal 597 Service Fitter
