    Question can mastic (pookie) mold?

    Im curious. im working in a hospital remodel and the submitals call for 2 part hardcast on the outside of the duct only. I have done hospitals before and this was never an issue. im wondering if anyone knows if doing this is legit or just overkill?

    If the submittal calls for two part hardcast, that is what I would use. The hospital may have reasons for wanting that spec and it is assumed the contractor or installer will merely comply. There may be regulations the hospital must follow that may not have been in effect during your prior hospital work.
