so i answer an ad for an HVAC technician, massive company, pays decent,
i get hired for the trial period , they seemed to be real impressed with my 8 month trade school training, which i immediatly though was suspicious,
they asked me if i mind-ed doing some general maintenence i said "um...no"
they hand me a freaking bucket and a brush and i'm doing painting!
now they got me on the roof doing patching,
i go up on the roof and there is two swamp coolers overflowing, and an AC unit short cycling,
i'm shaking my head thinking i can't believe this is happening to me.
i'm starting to think no one in this company even knows how to do HVAC,
the HVAC tools are suppose to be supplied at the shop location , but there's nothing there but gauges and a pump.
i said "where are all the tools?" , he tells me "there on my truck but the truck is in the shop"
i have to wait two weeks to find out if they are paying me what they said they will.
i can't quit anyway because even though it's hot , no one is hiring in my area, and i'm about a week past bankruptcy.
am i the only person this kind of crap happens to?
HATE TO TELL YOU, BUT YEAH, UR THE ONLY ONE! LOL
SOUNDS LIKE A PERCENTAGE/HOMEWARRANTY COMPANY, LOL
or a fly by night company, i would not expect a big check, they must pay you hourly straight time?
maybe, u could sell them a unit? just joking
good luck, at least you didnt fly out to LA, and get ripped off for half expenses, and made wait two days , to see the owner, and then wouldnt come to meet in the first place, too busy, fcol
whats this world coming to?
