    I got Scamed today, LOL

Well I fell for the "White Van" scam. Bought a crap projection and screen. Ah well, I deserved it for being in a good mood when they FIB approached me at the gas pump with his line of crap.
I plugged the thing in when I got home, and surprising enough it actually works. I guess I will put it out in the garage to watch games on while working on my car, and when it dies, I'll use it for target practice.

My father inlaw bought a box of bricks that he thought was a tv. Guy comes into a bar with a tv still in the box shows it to his buddy and he buys it. Says he has two more unopened in truck so my inlaw buys without opening. Comes over to deliver tv to his granddaughter(my daughter) and, what do you know, nice new bricks. I laughed for two days. He was pretty pissed.

I'm still confused how a Focused Ion Beam fits in with this.

If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

FIB came to b,e because all those living north of the cheddar curtain were sick of being called cheeseheads and sick of 18 year old IL kids driving north of the border to drink their beer. Pre 1980ish our drinking age was 21 , but it was still 18 in cheddarland. I guess they just couldn't handle the influx of intelligent people crossing the border. They came up with the FIB phrase and if I recall there was a song or words in a song refering to it.

Those guys used to be around my neck of the woods all the time. I used to get asked all the time to check out the nice cabinet speakers out of the Astro vans. I've seen the scam for at least the last 20 years. The last time I saw one I asked if they ran out of Astro vans and offered them $20 for the pair of speakers. They didn't want to play, shame.
