Thread: Walmart vs the Morons
08-18-2012, 11:23 AM #27
If you want to pay more the very same product out of a box, you have every right to do so. Likewise, all of the moron Americans in the U.S. have the right to be stupid enough to purchase products from Walmart for less money because Walmart is so much better at conducting business than other companies are. We moron Americans who so stupidly pay less for products applaud your dedication to your cause, even though we are too stupid to understand what exactly that cause is.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

- No one is forciing anyone to shop at Walmart.
- No one is forcing anyone to work at Walmart.
- Those who work at Walmart are.......working.
- Walmart is an American success that is under attack by those who oppose American values and ideals.

I see my friends and family looking more into where items are made now. Whenever we go out I make a big deal about it. Ive been known to go into stores and ask what items they sell are Made in the States. Ive been in a store or two that responded with nothing. SO we have left and looked for that same item Made in the USA online.Gotta have the right tool for the job!
Where is all the stuff MADE IN THE USA?

Simply put; I refuse to buy any tool manufactured in China or any Chinese affiliate country. There are many tools manufactured in other countries that are very well made that I will purchase, but when it comes to tools, I don't shop for price alone. Then again, if Walmart does have a tool that is of a quality that is acceptable to me, and that tool is less expensive than I can buy it elsewhere, I am still enough of a moron to buy that tool from Walmart. However, I do not expect to find quality tools at Walmart or swap meets....which I don't even go to unless my wife drags me to one.
If you continue to be such a moron when it comes to your accusations of persons such as myself, you are in danger of becoming a Walmart shopper yourself.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

The only items I avoid completely that are not made in the USA are anything that are made in China. My reasons are two fold. Most Chinese products are just not very well made and in clothing simply do not fit well, and I don't like the way that China is operating in the business market or how the current U.S. government continues to allow the Chinese to snub their noses at trade laws and general ways of conducting trade.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

What Walmart does is nothing more or less than free enterprise. If you do not like living in a country where freedom is the norm, then move to Europe where socialism is the norm. I have a 'Washington' that says you would not like it, and move back.
And IMO your example about the thief in the parking lot is not applicable. The goods at Walmart are manufactured, transported, and sold in a legal manor. It is your CHOICE to buy them or not. Evidently, by the numbers, the majority of folks around the world make that choice for Walmart daily.
Now the reason I started this thread was to suggest govt needs to become accountable for their actions... especially since we the taxpayers are financing those actions.
Everyone wants to complain about the govt... yet nobody wants to take the steps to clean up bad govt.
My question: Why do folks not want to clean up bad govt? Anyone have the guts to answer that question?GA-HVAC-Tech

The saying behind free enterprise is freedom to choose where to shop....that's what we have...and if everyone chooses the best or the cheapest just as in wal marts case...it puts everyone else out of business and you end up with a monopoly. So in the end is it not the opposite of a free market?
Maybe some of you don't notice it because you are in metro areas, but we can definitely see the problems caused here in small town usa, and eventually you will notice them in the Metro as well.

Funniest part about this thread is most in here that are totally against walmart are liberals that are doing same as ever ...... trying to force their ideas on everyone else and force everyone to pay more to subsidize people wanting something for free payed for by someone else. They say buying at Walmart is un- American.
When is the last time you saw a Liberal doing whats right for the country ?????
What do you expect from someone with a liberal point of view ????????
With that kind of point of view ....... How could they possibly expect to be a successful businessman ????
and if your Union , never mind ........ I realize why you look at it the way you do

This is not about liberal vs conservative. It's all about the corporate culture and how the race to the bottom has progressed. First from the north to the south in this country, next to Mexico and Japan, next to China and India. From there these "American" companies will seek out the next slave nation to manufacture the trinkets they sell. Jobs for Americans? The corporate answer is WHY? This is the face of world-wide capitalism, get used to it and teach your children how to do with less.
