Thread: Trane touch pad

    This is a varitrc system as near as I can tell with a touch pad . In alarms it has message Interface is unconfigured service required . Anyone ever saw this
    is this really happening or not

    Call the local Trane office for assistance. Seems like you have a bad panel that needs replaced or your communications link is bad. Either way you need help. They can provide you the manuals for programming it. This does not require the Varitrac software but it does make it easier. The software is shipped with the original panel. The cable needs to be purchase at Trane parts.

    Try pulling the panel off the wall, it mounts on a base plate and should separate when pulling directly towards you. When you re-insert the panel it will power on and go to a discovery mode. This may take a few minutes. It will locate and identify all equipment on the communications link. If not then you have problems.
