I don't care what anybody says. Nice game tho. It was fun to watch. I thought that Ward retired. Wassup wit that?

Ward got lots of years left in him, Bettis retired. I was happy with the the way the Steelers played, but could've done without seeing Peezy kiss Cowher. Willie Parker played well and showed he's more than an outside threat. And Batch, played as I expected, smart and accurate passing. He is better than most would give him credit for. Now if the D can find a way to stop 3rd and long I'll be happy.
I hope Ben is ready for week 3 against Cincy, should be a great matchup against Palmer.

I was pretty surprized how the Steelers dominated. There defense is really tuned in. I very well could be wrong about my 6-10 prediction for them, that was considering with no Ben.

Batch did look good. I was surprised.
Over the long haul though, we need Ben.
These games are won on the line of scrimmage, by the end of the game Miami was beat, you could see it. They had to pass and when you can't run against a good team, you are usually done for.
Steelers don't give up on the run very easily, it started slow but in the end Parker had his 115 yards, he proved a lot last night.
Ike Taylor played awful I thought, after that big contract they gave him too, he better wise up.

Ike didn't play as well as he can, but shadowing Chambers is no easy task. He'll come around. I think Mc Fadden needs to play in Townsends spot, then we'd have 2 really strong and fast corners. The special teams play was horendous, they were the weak link on the field.
I agree the war is won in the trenches and #98 Casey Hampton was incredible again last night. I'd like to see him get to play on some 3rd downs, most times it takes 2 or 3 linemen to block him. He's such a load, how wide do ya suppose his ass is? He's flat out the best nose tackle in the game.

Even without Roethlisberger, it looks like the Steelers began the season the same way they ended it last year: With the Refs handing them the game.

"THE" bottle of Seahawk "whine" is right here....

And it isn't whining when it is justified. Don't worry, we'll get ya this year.
