That is f**ing funny. I am so addicted to my gps I gave her a name.(Mary) She gets me through the tough times of the day. Talks to me on the way home and keeps me company. If I want a little strange I can just change her voice, sometimes to a different language. Tried that with the wife and it did not go over so well.(Mary never once complained). I realized my problem when just a few weeks ago I took my gps out of the truck to use in the car and after driving to the same job for about a month I got lost. This is no bull. I just do as she tells me and never pay attention to where I am turning.I am so glad I did not buy that gps for my Harley. Mary would be pissed.
You need to put the phone down and get back to work!

Depending on the GPS, the upgrade cost can be a killer.

I was looking at 2012 Dodge cars and if you get a built in factory GPS and want an upgrade you have to pay (or at least you do in Canada).

I was at one of the Communities I service talking to the Manager, She said she uses hers to find her way home every day, and she has worked at the same property for almost a YEAR now, I think we become so dependent on instruments that we do not use the greatest gift God has given us, our Brain. GPS is great and it helps us get to places we do not know or travel in new areas, but we need to pay attention to our surroundings and we should, after a couple of trips be able to find our way there without it.
Mapquest on my Iphone help me when I am not sure of the best way, My Tom tom died a few years ago when my invoice holder/Clipboard (metal) slid off my dash and crashed into my GPS that was on the console. Three bills in equipment died, the screen was shot.
The updates for that then were about 1 bill a year on special, Mapquest is free, runs on my phone, both Android (I believe it works better on android phones) and on my new Iphone.
