There is no reason you cant just find a leak, and fix it without the "Fix-a-Flat" of HVAC. The guy is probably undercutting everybody in the area and making more work for them. Its so hard to go behind a hack. HO: "Thats 5x what the last guy charged me!" ME: "Why did you call me a week later?"

We Probly couldn't even sell that kit for that price at out shop. What a service this guy is doing for his community, look how much money he saved those poor folks by fixing there HX, If they are lucky they will die next winter and then never have to worry about money again.

HOLY SH**!! Is he on a mission to kill someone?? That "Field repaired" in his words, cracked heat exchanger is actually a "NOS Energy" drink can slathered with high temp sealant to block the crack. Look at the URL Frosty posted then look at this pic. Amazing. You can make out the words energy closer to the bottom of his HACK repair.
