    SORIT VALVE SETTING

What is the proper way to set a SORIT valve to maintain a walk in cooler @ 35 degrees? Four compressors R507. Evaporator coil 10* TD. Should all compressors be forced on before setting it?

    I do it like this.

make sure your suction pressure is bellow your desired SST for the system you're setting. If you have to manual compressors on, do so.

Then, turn in the SORIT stem to increase the systems SST above design.

Then, turn out the SORIT stem to unload the systems SST to design.

I do this or something similar with ALL pressure regulating valves. Adjust them past their setting, then dial back to it.
