I'm working on a Trane Mdl# BWD718A100A0. Looks like a 1.5 Ton unit, someone replaced the compressor with a 2 ton Copeland. Valves leak on the compressor. Anyone out there know what the correct tonnage is on this 23 year old unit? I'm going to swap it out next week.

Thanks for the reply. One of the guys in the office called Southern California Trane. They said the Mdl# was no good and the closest thing they matched the numbers to was for a 1.8Ton unit. You ever hear of a 1.8 ton unit? I haven't.

The 7 meant quick connect on the lines(I think). The 18 meant nominal 18,000 BTU.(I KNOW)
