    Good replies. I replaced all 6 pulleys today, all units running the right CFM now. I am bringing some ice tomorrow and see how that works.

    I dont suspect you would have a major loss of oil by removing a few pounds.
    Another quick recovery method is removing all but the last 5psi, then using your recovery to force it back in by weight. This would tell you your charge, and allow you to not have to pull a vacuum and change the drier.
