    Trane TU software

I was told by our local Trane office that TU software was not needed to service the UC8000 after the original start up. I know with the Dyna View and Tech View software it was needed to bind and troubleshoot all the LLID devices. Is it true that the TU software is not needed to service the UC8000? Thanks.

IF you're talking about a centrifugal chiller, then yes. Some other equipment is able to bind through the AdaptiView panel.

You need TU 8.4 Sp1 or later to bind llid in that screw chiller.

If it's a RTAE you can bind from the front panel. you just need the passcode.

X2. Centrifugals are the only AdaptiView machines you can't bind from the front panel.

Gave you bad info, you dont need TU for binding on a RTAE, got it all mixed up with the thermal protection removal procedure.
