Picked up a kit from Lowes for my Mini Mag back in Dec.05, It's still going strong, and go thru a third of the batteries. Like the light it puts out. Noticed they have the same thing at Wallys, but without the tail switch. Also noticed they had Mag Light brand LEDs for $18.86 for the D cell flash lights, says beam is fully focusable. Has anyone tried them?

I tried the mini mag fit up kit. The reflector broke inside, and now the bulb doesn't stay in all the time. I was gonna steal one from one of the apprentices when we worked together, but found out his did the same thing! WTF, I found out a lot of them had the same problem. I might just but a regular LED flashlight and toss the mag.

I use nothing but Mag, I have 5 "D" cell Mags and 3 mini mags. I have the LED kit for my mini mag but did'nt like it. Probably buy a LED Mag sometime soon.

I did the led thing on the mini-mag awhile ago.
It is bright and lasts long, good for close work.
But thoses leds don't shine very well for distance.
Like if you are in a ceiling looking for pipes or ducts and such, ya need a regular mag light.
I have an led headlight which is great for many uses.

I like my Streamlights. Don't have to twist them on-off like Mag lits. The Twin-Tasks are nice.

You see more of the LED flashlights in the stores now. But there's no way to know how much light they put out. There should be some sort of standard, like lumens.
