Do you send the meters back to Fieldpiece...

for repairs? Or do you have a place?

Ive got two meters here a 76 and a 17. One now wont do VAC and one wont do capacitance. I guess send em back to the factory might be a bit less than somewhere local.

They have been good meters. Had em about 6 years now.

If the 76 is the one which will not do capacitance (MFD's), there is a fuse in the back of it (have to take the back cover off with a screwdriver). Replace the fuse (special part... some supply houses have it)... and the 76 will do MFD's again. Learned this with mine years ago.

BTW: IMO the 76 and 77 are the best meters I have ever owned/used. All I ever do is replace the 9V battery once a year... and they work great!

    Yes, I love the 76.

76 does caps but not volts
17 does volts but not caps

I think I need to send em in to fieldpiece.

I still love the meters but Fieldpiece forced me to leave a message which they have not returned. But Ive been a bit busy the last few days so...

Ill give em the benefit of the doubt and call em tomorrow. Id like to get em repaired rather than buy new.

    Richard,

If you PM me your number, I will make sure someone calls you and gets you taken care of. I apologize for the delay.

Buy Fluke and you won't have to send them back.
