    Please Fix My AC

    I get a call last week:

    Its effin hot in here...please come fix my ac!!!

    OK...I show up, tstat on cool....go down stairs....furnace fan is on....cased coil looks alright.....lines brazed up neat and clean....unfinished basement.

    so I go out side....first thing coming to mind is blown cap....

    and then I see this.....

    can't see copper thieves taking the pad.

    Thinkin the same jpsmith1cm, would think they'd have taken the whip too...

    ... And cut the stub off right at the house...

    Anybody else notice how close the condensing unit was to the gas meter/regulator? Thought there needed to be a bit more clearance than that...

    The reason the pad is non-existant, is because the RNC guy knows that goodmans come with a wood slab with the unit.
    The high voltage, which by the way is 12-2 (i've never ran 12-2 to a conventional unit), is not in sealtite. Probably never was.

    taken, but not for scrap, because there is greater than 1/2" sticking out the wall. (bastards)

    I'm saying, hack installed it, no pay, recovered.
