    Hmm

I appreciate all the replies I've received on Steam vs Hot Air.

I didn't realize what was involved....

What are people's thoughts on Hot Water Heaters using a Steam Gas Boiler? A separate water heater is better because the boiler will not run all year round... a coiled boiler that heats the water is better because the cast iron of the boiler retains the heat.... etc....

I thought that going with the coiled boiler would be fine because the water has to be heated anyway using energy, either by the boiler or the heater. Less gas to keep the water hot would be used in the summer than in the winter when the house needs to be heated as well.

    Thanks!

Generally an incredible waste of energy to convert water to steam to heat cold water!!!
