Thread: Carlyle compressor question

I was working on a Carrier 38AKS028 25 ton condensing unit. It uses a Carlyle 06E9265 compressor. It has two contactors that both feed the same compressor. I was told this is called a Part start compressor. I I guess I really dont understand the operation of this kind of compressor.

dont both contactors land at the same peckerhead on the compressor.
