they need a cap on the drain but why was it freezing up?

all I see is expensive copper. My boss would crap if used copper when 3/4 pvc would work.

Looks like the lineset is frozen up so it leaks when it Thaws??????

This is unique a/h unit. NYC building on 37 th floor. Outside on the terrace. Rain, snow ets.
No air filters, poor return air flow.
Disaster.

Horizontal airhandler installed outside......sucking outdoor air for the return?
never even heard of hackery that low.
