One thing though, politicans always take over. In this country they are put in power by a majority of largely uninformed population many of who haven't read a book since high school.
But often your generation isn't so different in many ways. A little history will show that. The younger gen has always had to bear the criticism of the older one. Me personally, I wish I could do it all over and envy those that are just starting this amazing adventure.
In fairness though, you probably asked for the vidio games but probably not the pills.

Show your support for Chick-fil-A. Eat there next Wed. Aug 1

Check out the latest from the AFA. Eat at Chick-fil-A, next Wednesday August 1

Announcing the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on August 1

    July 26, 2012

    Dear Glenn,
Christian-owned Chick-fil-A has come under assault once again, this time because CEO Dan Cathy recently affirmed his personal view that the Biblical view of marriage should be upheld.

The "Big Gay" machine has ramped up an un-relenting and vicious public attack against Chick-fil-A. Homosexual activists are spewing hate-filled bigotry and intolerance toward the company in unprecedented fashion.

Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day is our way of showing our support for a company whose leaders believe in marriage as that of one man, one woman.

Join millions of others in showing support for Chick-fil-A by visiting your local Chick-fil-A on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. The plan is simple. At least once on August 1, eat a meal at Chick-fil-A and politely let the staff and management know you appreciate the company's Christian value system.

Let us know you're supporting Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day by signing up today! We'll let Chick-fil-A know to expect record sales on August 1!

Let us know you're supporting Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day!

It is very important that you forward this alert to your friends and family members.
    Sincerely,

    Tim Wildmon, President
    American Family Association

I always get the chicken salad sandwich at chick fillet. I use their hot sauce that comes in those little packs on it...... makes it a really nice sandwich.

I actually don't think all that much of Chik Fil A, but will now eat there more often just because it will poke back at homosexuals who have just become annoying and fascist wannabe politicians who need to be knocked down a few thousand pegs from their perceived power perches.

Rahm Emanual has now joined in the fascist claims that politicians should have the power to dictate what businesses can operate in their little serfdoms. No surprise there.

I am surprised that Obama has not made some stupid comment yet. I guess he's waiting to figure out how to make this a racist issue.

Now, homosexuals united are planning to surround Chik Fil A stores and kiss each other to show......I have no clue what this is supposed to achieve. I do predict that homosexuals are going to wind up being as offensive as they possibly can at Chik Fil A stores during this Kiss In they are organizing. I think that rather than keep their children from being exposed to this homosexual attack on Chik Fil A that American families should make a trip to Chik Fil A stores while the homos will be on display so that the children can be shown how not to behave in public and how despicable militant homosexuals are.

Anyone want to place bets on some homo having mock...or real...sex with a chicken soon?

One problem I have with Chick-fil-A is their waffle fries.

French fries are supposed to be thick and straight.

They have sex with chickens in Claiborne county tennessee.....

You go to Claiborne county and need to find a chicken real fast....

Just look in someones family tree.......cause they are full of chickens.

Other counties in Tennessee that have chicken ******* include Hawkins, Hamblen,Grainger, Cocke and Sevier.....

I dont know why but southwest virginia seems to have more goat ******* than chicken ******* but Hawkins county tennessee seems to have just as many goat ******* as chicken *******.

Taking a trip to Tennessee.....avoid these counties......do not even stop for gas or a cold drink...... keep on moving....

    Oh.... by the way.....

Ive been getting this new chicken sandwich at Hardees.... they have three of them..... original, honey mustard and bacon and swiss....

Ive been getting the bacon and swiss combo when eating at hardees.....

Its not a big sandwich but its a tasty sandwich...... and its real chicken too...... its not that goo that they serve you at mcdonalds on a mcchicken sandwich......

Of course it is more expensive......it is not a value menu item....... though I wish it was.

Robo, I don't know what you are talking about. I have never fit that discription. No one ever took care of me unless you count my stint in the Air Force. If anyone really wants to feel abandoned in the USA try starting your own business. I did.
If by FDR's "Socialist programs" you mean our SS annuity try seeing our country with out it. It is a great investment for many and maybe you might live long enough to appreciate the idea. It's no entitlement as the nut jobs would like you to believe. It's our money held in trust. Tell the right wing politicians to leave it alone. Money is being spent to convince Americans to abandon SS in favor of something else. That's like shaking the hangman's hand.
Maybe your more comfortable with a system that says "Your on your own. Tuck & roll. See if your family can afford to put an addition on their house for you when your money evaporates. Then you will really grasp the idea of helplessness.
As far as your ridiculous statement about what you call "Socialist programs that can't work as long as we are still a capitalist country" Guess what. WE AREN"T IN A CAPITALIST COUNTRY. And guess again, SS does work and works great. Americans aren't capitalists even if they think they are. We might have a quasi capitalist economy but we live in a democratic republic. The nature of true capitalism is exploitation and I think few here would put up with it. I'm glad there are not more of the Romneys out there. There is much about the USA that is great but the attitudes that have been jammed into many heads (by capitalists in fact) about the righteousness of capitalism only favor guess who, the capitalists. Our country was built on the exploits of business and labor. guess who was exploited.
Many here are young enough to see themselves as survivors and bullet proof, not needing such things as SS Medicare Etc. You should know by now that time changes everything.

It might seem counter-intuitive but no, a business open to the public isn't private. At least as far as goods and services go. The courts determined that 45 years ago or so when the restaurants refused to serve Blacks. One guy even chased people out of his restaurant with an axe handle.
Like I said about the sign that reserves the right to refuse service won't work anymore. (unless it's a no-naked policy)
To have laws regarding discrimination being unlawful doesn't fit a socialist agenda it closer to a Christian agenda.
