    Trane Techview

    rtac155 been connected many times to this chiller been having comm loss. Today when it was setting up it gave me an error saying database is too old any ideas?

    sounds like you need to update your Techview. Someone prolly flashed it to a newer version say V39 and your Techview hasn't been updated so you can't talk to it. Also Techview has to be relicensed every 45 days now.

    what is your comm loss, chiller to BAS or device on chiller?
    It's hard to stop a Trane. but I have made one helluva living keeping them going.

    comm loss was old flat cabling so it was jumping to diff. devices. but we upgraded to round cable seems to have settled down.any idea how to upgrade techview. Thanks
