    AHU reverse connections

    Normally Ahu Water supply is from down and return from up,but at one site contractor connect Supply from Up so what can be effect on performance of Ahu.This Ahu is 948 MBH capacity.Thanks.

    you are talking about a chilled water coil? some coils are designed with leaving water meeting entering warmer air first, when piped backwards the coldest water meets the warmer return air first decreasing heat transfer as the air travels through the coil. unit efficiency decreases.

    Just wanted to clarify that loss of unit efficiency includes dehumidification, along with temperature control.
