Low cap wire.
does someone have information as to why low cap wire is preferred for rs-232/485 data? something in print would be apreciated.

The higher the capacitance, the harder it is to drive the wire from one voltage level to another. This leads to issues at higher baud rates and on networks that have a lot of controllers.

Contact ALPS Controls.com and look up or ask for part number ARC156. That is the low cap wire that we use for ALC 156K baud networking. They have it available from 2 different vendors.
