    Yep he came he saw and then what?
    He needed to MEASURE the pressures at the very least
    and by the way
    They are also going to tape/seal the duct work they can get to.
    that was, BY CODE what they were suppose to do in the first place for a new home
    You have got to learn from other people's mistakes! Because God knows you don't live long enough to make them all yourself !!!!!!!!

    I'm getting really frustrated. Called the building department this morning and was told they would not be able to help. That in Michigan the new energy standards apply only to permits pulled after May 2011 (permits were pulled in Jan 2011 for this house), and that there is no requirement for a load plan on buildings smaller then 3600sqft and that my ducting would support the minimum requirement for heating..

    Give up on the builder. It's a lost cause. Just as worthless as a home warranty company.

    Go find a reputable contractor that speaks the language of airflow, equipment sizing and will correct the ductwork. A little drywall work is NBD.

    Ultimately, do you want it quest, comfortable and efficient?
