Clean up with shop vac.Turn a.c. off and manually pour water into drain pan and see if pan may have a leak in back of pan since pan looks dry

A cracked pan could be causing the issue ...
You might be onto something. I never thought of a pan cracking over time but found another thread where others have had the exact same problem with a cracked pan in a WF unit.

A cracked basepan is the problem
That was it. The basepan has cracked completely in the back right corner. I called my HVAC company for a warranty repair. The problem now is starting tomorrow the rest of the week is suppose to be 95 degrees. My cooling system is held hostage to a cheap plastic part
