    Don't shoot me. I'm ignorant, but educable. Does a four ton compressor result in colder air coming from the vents than a three ton? Thanks.

    No. The capacity of the compressor is matched with the coil size and amount of air to provide a relatively similar temperature of air across the entire spectrum of residential systems., and ye shall find;..

    Yes and No

    No, Robotechs answer is correct if we are talking about proper design.

    Yes, if we are talking of installing a 4 ton unit on a 3 ton duct system. The restriction created by the now undersized ductwork will lower the air volume and air temperature coming from the supply ducts.
