I would like to try the copper tubing, how do they attach the copper to keep it firmly in place? It has been a few months since I looked in the sump, but I believe the wires are just zip-ty'd to an oil line in there. There is no stress on the wires at the terminals or the sensor.

http://www.totaline.com/dl/RCD-3519-060.pdf Check out page eight.
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/CADDY-Pipe-Strap-1RUW1 The tubing supports look like this but i prefer the ones with the rubber on them for vibration. 1/2" O.D. tubing should be fine, Carrier would flare the ends to keep the edges away from the wires should be fine.
If you look in the cuts you can see this and also they would have a support of the oil feed to the high speed.
Hope this helps
