    A/C window unit question please

Bought me a big window units that says it cools 1000 square feet. Reason for this is that my compressor locked up per HVAC tech. Cant afford a new unit right now.

    I have a few questions.

    1. On my thermostat should i engage just the fan? Will it cool better with the window unit.
    2. If no on the thermostat fan then should I close my vents?
    3. Is it wise to run the ceiling fans with window unit or but some floor fans?

    thank you for your time.

Your fan in the on position should help circulate the air through the space

How large of a space do you need to cool? The ceiling fans will move the hot air that is not in the occupied zone and may cause the window unit not to keep up.

Running in fan only will not remove enough humidity to make u feel comfortable. Ceiling fan only circulates air and also doesn't remove humidity
