    lost in s.a.

    Hi all and thanks for your time. I'm in san antonio, tx with no heat pump.
    in reading your posts comparing models it seemed like ameristar is not so bad
    for a poor guy. are they o.k. for san antonio? I got a good offer on a 13seer
    i can afford but your the experts.

    I typically see more Goodman or GMC out here installed on the low end. The most important thing is to make sure it's installed by a knowledgable installer. But you also got to remember that in this Texas heat you get what you pay for when it comes to resi systems.
