New home (open floor plan) with no A/C. Return is on ceiling going into my attic. It then goes down thru the wall into a crawl space & into the furnace located in the basement. I would like to eliminate the existing return & draw the return air down the (open)stairs directly into the furnace to reduce heat loss in the existing ducts.

As you are retired bobbie I must assume you are older and understand common courtesy. It's pretty frackin rude to post three separate threads on the same topic and then ignore the responses.
