American Standard Platinum ZV Control Thermostat alert code CFG 004.00
I installed an American Standard Forefront air handler, 20 SEER heat pump, and the fancy thermostat at a house about 2 hours away from home. Normally this is too far for me but it was a referral job with a decent profit.
The customer has emailed me, saying that the stat is showing an alert code CFG 004.00 I have looked through all the literature I can find through American Standard with zero success. He has rebooted the system and it is running but the error code is still showing.
Does anybody know what this is?

2-hours? That's and entire 1/2 day just do commute out and back! Whew. There go the profits, eh?
If YOU want change, YOU have to first change.
If you are waiting for the 'other guy' to change first, just remember, you're the 'other guy's' other guy. To continue to expect real change when you keep acting the same way as always, is folly. Won't happen. Real change will only happen when a majority of the people change the way they vote!

Well I built in enough profit to cover everything.
Nobody has an idea of what this error code means?

Are you using a remote temperature sensor? If not, update the stat. If so this notification is normal.

Thanks for the help guys. I called the American Standard technical support line and they advised me that the humidity sensor within he stat is not working.
I need to update software and if that does not solve it, replace the stat.
Thanks again
