    how can you tell what the seer rating is if you dont have the paper work?

    or look for help from the manufacturer,or ari, or prestons maybe...somewhere there are lists of such information

    You need to know the model numbers of the outdoor unit, the indoor coil and the indoor air mover. Even then, you may not know because not every possible combination has beeen rated.


    Of course this is a factory rating, installation and applications play a big part in determining how efficeint a system is.

    You could figure out the SEER rating of the condensing unit using the tonnage and the rated amps.

    But than you would have to find the nameplate.... which has the model number on it.
