Manitowoc brand liquid line drier
Anybody ever had problems with using a drier off the shelf of local supply house instead of the OEM manitowoc drier? I read in tech handbook something about OEM driers holding up to back pressure during harvest. I am sure brand X has been used a million times. Just wondering if anybody ever had a problem with this.

I wondered the same thing after using a biflow Heat pump dryer on a q model and then reading about how the OEM dryers are special. This was several years ago and that Q is still working.

I wonder if that is just their way of trying to get you to purchase from them (oem)?

It is is true,
The OEM has dirt-retaining filtration, with fiberglass filters on both the inlet and the outlet ends.
There is a back flushing action during every harvest cycle.
