    Hmm

Anybody out there seen this?? I have a new outdoor unit Trane 3 ton XL14i (8 months) which is "hissing" it's coming from the check valve. When I use a magnet to move the ball it goes away till the next cycle. Is this common? Should I replace it? It runs quieter when it's not "hissing"

Trane is aware of the problem and I have heard the story told several times regarding the solution. You are correct. A magnet. Call Trane and I believe they can send you a kit.
