Worked for service experts in Indiana, extremely corporate. Just try to sell sell sell, they reward those who sell and not who can fix things. Had to go to a three day selling seminar because I wasn't selling uv lights.

I don't really think anything at all because NAS and Service Experts basically just use the Lennox name from what I was told by the guys at Lennox in Madison when I worked for NAS. They went on some complicated rant and I think basically what he was saying was they aren't really affiliated with NAS (and I would assume its the same with Service Experts) because they are basically their own company. NAS or Service Experts aren't really "factory authorize service" or whatever you want to call it like Trane and Carrier. It would be a blessing on the resi side is Service Experts didn't come up here, and it would be a blessing if NAS left.

I worked for them for a year and a half. Their training is poor, none of their upper management has any trade experience.
Its like working for sears (from what I'm told) if you sell equipment, plus agreements and furnace insurance you will do well.
They have a very rigid pay scale based on your Nate training level regardless of any government issued tickets.
They use a centralized call centre that pays their employees minimum wage and therefore provides minimum service. Your van will be tracked by GPS, which will end up being a ford transit connect. The inventory you can carry is rigidly controlled, including which shelf each part is stored on. Anything not on the list is not allowed.
If you have no experience, it's not the worst way into the trade, but if you have experience and like using your brain, you should look elsewhere.

I understand some of your complaints about the pay scale & what-not, but not quite sure why you're upset about the GPS thing & the rigidly controlled parts stocking.
I can tell you from the experience I'm having w/whom I work every tech/installer has a completely different idea on how much of what part should be stocked on their trucks. Which is stupid & petty.
If any co has any dream of being successful then they have to control their inventory & where their trucks are.WHY?
