a/c problem everythings running but need help

It's almost acting like u don't have enough condenser at 350 psi.
This is what I would check for

Check to see how many circuit the condenser has?
Remove condenser fan panel
Run it with out condenser motor
You need to feel each circuit
Make sure they are all hot
Just to make sure no circuit is plug

It's not in ur liquid line cause ur high side would be lower

would it make the pressures fluctuate if the fan blade was bent . because the homeowner vacumed out the leaves he said and I was thinking maybe its not rejecting the heat but I dont know if that would fluctuate the pressures .thanks again

Brad u said this all started after a bad capacitor
By any chance the condenser is going the wrong way?
If wires are put in wrong on a 3 wire to run cap
It will reverse rotation.

I can see head pressures that high and fluctuating if it's going the wrong way.

rotation correct . I was thinking probably running hot with those pressures popped the capacitor to start with.

Not saying this is it, but I've had two units do similar things with the fan blades in the wrong position on motor shaft. 1/2 an inch or more too low (or high though both of mine were too low) can make a difference. Check airflow with a piece of paper, move it over all fin surfaces, it should stick against coil. Any idea if the motors been changed before? Definitely seems like your having a heat rejection problem.

never been replaced but im wondering if the homeowner bent the blade cleaning out the unit

I can tell you this much.
If u are checking ur high side on condenser port
And it shows that high
Ur condenser is not doing its job.
The flash gas to ur liquid line is what's causing ur fluctuation.
Not enough condenser,
Not enough air flow,
Go ahead replace the blade
It needs to be replace anyway, since it's bent
It will make bearing on motor go out.

I'll step back and see what others say

I think you could tell if it was bent enough to matter. Did you amp fan motor and compare to nameplate.

I agree if it's bent replace blade. Go ahead and bring a motor with you too.

Ok I have a few questions..

How was the unit performing prior to this year? Cool the house ok? Make set point and shut off? Did you ask the Homeowner these questions?

Are the indoor and outdoor units a match? How old is this unit?

Also when you evacuated the system are you using a micron gauge?

ran fine 8 years, pumped down with micron guage. matched amana 2.5 ton

Measured on the line wires amps should be near nameplate rating. Not half.

going over when I get a motor an blade just i ncase. It seems the condenseris not rejecting the heat an the condeser is clean for the amp draw to be that low???

Fan motor maybe going out and not turning the rpms its supposed to be turning and took out the cap but still hasnt died yet.
