i remember that a start capactor is not real exact but run capactors are suppost to be the same,my unit has a run capactor dual 46/6 370v body is round.....i have a 45/5 440v. would that cause a problem or should i get one exactly?i know the higher volts would be fine.....the one that's in the unit is orginal and hasn't went bad but with the hot weather i want the correct one for a spare...this is a 3 ton heatpump with a scroll compressor

46/6 sounds odd, it would probably run ok on the 45/5 in a pinch. But I would maybe try to get the orginal from the dealer. What brand unit is that.

That does sound odd 46/6 is there a +/- 5% or 10 %? Where is the turtle when you need him?

You would have your 10% on the compressor but not the condensor motor.
