New home approx. 13 months old, Location - Waco Texas
This indoor coil needs to be replaced due to non-repairable refrigerant leak.
The furnace will have to be removed to drop the coil so it clears the door jamb.
The air filter cannot be pulled straight out without hitting the right side of the door casing. Bending filter is the only way to manuver it in the filter base.
Gas flex penetrates cabinet
High voltage to furnace has no retaining clamp
Base of furnace hangs over filter base edge allowing large return leak in closet. Also there are very large air gaps around the supply plenum where it penetrates the closet ceiling.
No secondary condensate drain protection.
The return air opening (grille size) is only 16x30 for a 5 ton blower & outdoor unit.
Wood bracing supporting floor broken and weak.
Blower housing screws gone.
Thermostat wires hanging down in the way of the filter.
Thermostat "Y" was wired to "G" so the outdoor unit ran when fan-on was selected.
Supply air grilles installed backwards in kitchen.
No return path in Master Suite area.
Furnace flue pipe touching combustable wood decking as it penetrates the roof.
One flex duct in attic supported by stat wire.
No start capacitor yet the indoor coil has a TXV.
Please advise on suggestions to correct these problems.
