Packing Nut
Anyone know of a tool to tighten or loosen the packing nut on a copeland semihermetic service valves?

I don't know of any special wrench!
I've always used an adjustable wrench. If you use pliers your going to mess up the griping surface of the nut.

I think Belzer and Refco make a set of valve sockets, not sure exactly what sockets and valves the cover though.
Mostly i use a 6" or 8" adjustable spanner.
My Dad had a set of Britool ones in the 70's, wish i'd kept them as they don't make them any more since Stanley bought them out.

Most of the time there isnt room to get an adjustable wrench on it or have room to turn it. A socket would be easier to use.
