Condensing unit rotting at bottom passes , just installed last year

Hey guys , anyone know about what could cause a condensing unit to rot out on the bottom passes . A unit I installed at a cottage withj associated pine trees in the vacinity has done just that . The previuose one did the same thing . I suspect that it must be something to do with the pine trees . Something is eating theses condenser coils . anyone had the same problem ?

Thank you for your attention to this matter .

What brand of unit? My brothers did the same and I was able to braze the holes shut.

Dogs, look for dogs. they like using condensers as fire hydrants.

Does sound like dog or tom cat urine issues.

It should be easy to tell with the old snout if a dog or cat has pissed on it enough to rot the thing out. You'll get within 3 ft of it and smell it, especially if the thing is running. What is the unit sitting on? A pad or blocks or ???

Dogs are attracted to condensers like flies to $hit. Ive seen entire sides of units with nothing left but copper tubing.

Although urine sounds to be logical,I've never seen it just on the bottom 2 rows ,it's usually an area .

I guess it could be just a wee dog that can't get his leg that high
