Yesterday I was talking to my friend in Northern California who also provides tech support for the HVAC industry. He was telling me about this one customer’s peculiar Situation. The job was specked out for a split system A/C with a furnace. The installer had set the condenser, installed the furnace and evaporator, ran the copper tubing, and ran all the electrical, all the ducts were ran and connected. All he had to do now was just run the gas line test the unit and collect his check. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
As the installer began to run the gas line under the house, everything was going fine until he discovered some bones. Thinking they were they were probably bones from a possum or a cat he began to dig them out. That’s when things got weird. It appeared that the bones got bigger and bigger the more he dug. That’s when he discovered it was human remains. Now, I don’t know what his reaction was, but I just can imagine. The installer crawled out from under the house and informed the homeowner what he had discovered. The police were called and a week long investigation had taken place. They had discovered that the remains had belonged to an Indian who had died about 500 years ago. After the discovery, some archeologists were called in and began an archeology dig and survey. In the mean time the poor contractor is losing money. They had to rip out the system and replace it with a heat pump. Can anyone say Poltergeist?
