Even if they kept the name"York", they still would have pressed their micro managing and crazy ideas. I'm glad they choose not to use York. If they did my previous York experience would now have a bad wrap because of JCI. I still have pride in saying that I was a York mech. I'd never say I was a jci mech. The outcome of jci takeover would not differ because of the name they use.

this thread reminds me of the nineties when we went through the nonsense with honeywell. unfortunately, the merger was going to happen, whether yorkies liked it or not. the choices were buyout, or hostile takeover. once jci set sights on york it was pretty much in the cards. what a mess they have weaved.

Mr Hasib Khan, you should probably start a new thread for a new subject as you have hijacked this one.... to answer you question Delta T * Flow/0.239 so 28.45 MW (8080 tons), which is a fairly big mother of a chiller

i was with York in 2002 and the service manager would disappear for a week off and on,and then BS it away as management training"JCI transition Seminars".this bird had to take medicines to get his ass on the jet to fly out he was a wreck.then a long time York guy 25yrs easy.. within the group was assassinating any and all techs and setting his son up to be there as a supervisor when JCI came in..sorry Richard L no names..but i know you had to hear about this guy down there or even trained with him in Pa. remember this add for YORK in 2002 got aced for its subject on the OEM tech to the rescue, with the contractors guy all discombobulated...on a start-up

dumping all the Olympic emblems after Salt Lake City..that was a big event for this guy knowing Yorks future walking around barking at guys to get the emblems off the shirts and trucks.then that "York-View" hand held they tried out with the super secret ID card to call into that Florida tech help center.the SM went to the seminars for the hand held then was told to have an in house training, but he refused to answer guys questions on its purpose or how it worked...WTF?then the equipment seminars...a 3 day course on Hellical screws with 6 instructors over 18 hours of classroom?taking of a group picture before the training started so the offices could ID there techs attending?then the topper a VP walking around the guys who drove trucks out to PA and calling the office managers complaining about the condition of the trucks i had one with the old YORK round emblems on it 15 yrs in the sun.get back to the shop on monday first thing the district guy says i got a complaint on your truck...i told him "it's your truck not mine"you want to pay me 8 hrs OT on saturday morning to remove it....no response
