The air conditioner duct work in my dining room ceiling has developed condensation. I had to have the ceiling opened up under the duct work because of water damage to the ceiling. Looking for solution to the condensation problem. Please note that I have had central air in my house since 1991 and this is this first time this situation has occurred.

Sounds like an insulation issue. Is it a particularly humid year?

Maybe some rodents ate away at some of the insulation, or it simply got old and fell off?

after you check the insulation, like amickracing suggested, you could remove your supply grille and caulk between the wall board (sheetrock) and supply boot, this stops the infiltration of hot humid attic air. And while you're at it... caulk the rest.
