CMT is running all Hee Haw shows all weekend. I can't believe I used to watch it. Talk about corn(no pun intended.)I did like Archie's Barber Shop with the backwards stories though. Used The Pee Little Thrigs in 6th grade as a verbal (read it in front of class from memory) story once.

    It may be corny now

But it sure brings back memories. To tell you the truth I'd much rather watch that and shows like it compared to some of the garbage on tv today.
During that time the morals and credability of this country was sure a heck of a lot better than they are now.

I saw that on last night & watched a few shows. I remember watching that at my grandparents house when I was a kid. Last night on there I saw George Jones & Willie Nelson. They were sure looking young back then. LOL It was good to see Buck Owens & Roy Clark on tv again too.

    LOL @ Junior Samples.

My 74 year old mom is staying here this weekend and has been watching Hee Haw all weekend. She has Alzheimer's but she is really enjoying the show. It's nice to see her laughing, clapping and singing again.

I also recollect the other good song

Gloom despair and agony on me
    Deep dark depression
    Excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck
I'd have no luck at all
Gloom despair and agony on meeeeeeeee.

I was forced to watch it along with Lawrence Welk.

i guess willie didn't talk much at that time.

my favorite willie story is when his ex wife sewed him up in a bedsheet when he was three sheets, and beat the hell out of him with a broom. this was during the hee haw era if that matters.

i don't think i'd let my kids go on a christian retreat with roy clark.
