    refrigeration piping underground

    I have a job that the refrigeration pipe was installed in a crock, and there is a leak underground. My question is, after the repairs are made is it still legal cover the pipe. Or do I have to run new refrigerant lines above ground to they can be repaired next time. This is a 150 ton chilled water system, with the condensing unit outdoors and the chiller barrel inside. The pipe length is about 65'.
