I saw the post concerning the difference between Carrier and Bryant.. I have to agree, one of the installers I talked to did feel like a red headed step child as he was only allowed to install Bryant rather than Carrier... didnt seem right to me... Anyways..

Anybody see a problem with me using a Carrier Air Handler and a Bryant or Payne Heat Pump. For that matter any brand heat pump. Somebody warned me once about using a Lennox air handler with any other type heat pump or condensor (No he wasn't a Lennox guy!)

    Thanks

If a condenser is installed with an indoor coil that it is not rated with ARI matchup) you may not recieve full warranty coverage, especially with the new 13+ SEER equipment. Whether Carrier cross matches with Bryant I'm not sure. Why not just stick with one brand? The difference between Carrier and Bryant is the color and name.

Thanks. The only reason is price. I have an opportunity to obtain a year old Carrier Variable speed a greatly reduced price. I was just curious if there would be a problem mating a heat pump of a different maker,or even Ca(as I have heard with the Lennox-Sorry Lennox guys if I'm wrong let me know.)You've pretty much answered my question. Thanks again.
