    finally figured out what SMAN stans for

    ..it means the owner of a SMAN manifold is a SUPERMAN meant to educate the misguided Diggi Zombie Army on the true benefits of a Fieldpiece manifold.

    We got a big job ahead of us.

    j/k guys....when Diggi makes a micron gauge built in I will buy one.

    Was gonna get the 1250 but it is dis continued.

    I want my SMAN to give me all the information on one screen that my AK900 does. I want my AK900 to have clamps as great as my SMAN's. Since there is no fixing the display, I would love for someone to figure out the temp vs resistance curve of the DigiCool sensors. I wouldn't want to introduce any more error trying to make things better.

    I guess there isnt much need for Doug to address this if the next step is wireless sensors. Personally I'd like to see that come about. Real time system capacity anyone?

    Cooper sensors or other 10k ohm sensors work for DC.

    From your posts, I thought it was;

    The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
    Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

    I'm sure using a generic 10k will get you within 3 or 4 deg, but then why bother with the thermistor in the first place? Making sure the thermistor matches the temperature-resistance map will get us within 1/2 deg over the entire range.

    There is lots of information of this, but this one briefly covers the basics.

    How many times did you have to fix the wires?

    It would be nice if someone could do a video of the SMAN3, the Testo 557 and the AK900 all side by side hooked up to a system. A nice comparison in real time would really help.

    I am looking for a second digital (have a 550) set but am waiting for the IDRSA, or SMAN4 (i think i heard its wireless somewhere).

    They built 'em better years ago.

    Fischer Price hadn't started building manifolds, yet.
