    Have developement I do I hope I dont loose it been there 6-years, but people are getting very demanding. I do a call last week dual run cap ruptured and load shed meter no good bypassed it, bring bill in to old lady she just stares at it for like 10 mins. then says Iam poor (living in uperscale condos) bill $180- I dont have the $$$$$, she says dont worry about it youll get it someday. Then lighting storm same place blows (shorts all fire detecters, talk to alarm guy) I do call t-stat no good lady used me prior 2-years ago, this was Friday get call at 8:00pm a/c out, she s pissed 68 years old she says your not taking atvantage of me are you. A/C worked fine she says when you left, I told her to cover my butt I seen it happen, transformer may had some overheating may act up, so I tell her look at breakers shes *****ing Iam not mechanical inclined 10 mins latter and after sayiny I WANT YOU OUT HERE TOMMOROW AT 1:00PM, she finds breaker thats off alarm guy probabably hit (he went in after me. Then I go do call 1/2 away make appoit. for 10:00am no one home I leave bill she called up and said Iam not paying it you a**hole take me to court.Then today put in new 10 seer (ya I know) unit was only 6 years old Arco Air 2-ton, load shed meter no good (bypassed) then 40' line set add some refr. crack valves start *(deg. o.d. 81i.d. pressures flucuating (right size orifice 59psig to 80 psig let run for while it brought it down 5deg. 2-levels in 1.15hrs. tell h.o. Ill come back when indoor temp and outdoor is not so extreme hope it works out. Then lost a a/h h/p swap because I didnt return call in time I told lady 5:00pm I called at 7:00pm she got someone else, used to have (hopefully still do ) excellent reputation , people pricing more and dont seeem to be as trusting, and lets not forget rude, been in trade about 18 years lot of changes!Thanks for lisining, time for cold beer.

    Sounds like nasty customers that buy the cheapest, don't do maintenance and the blame the rest of the world when it breaks.

    I don't have a clue what you just said. Punctuation is your friend. Maybe that is why the old woman was staring at your bill for ten minutes, I would fully understand.

    sorry about understanding my post, long days, have 3-kids 4,7, and 9 running around when wife lets me get them, everything i do has been rushed for last few months, same with post didnt have much time

    Your post was very easy to read. There were not a lot of abbreviations etc... Just think about reading an auto service invoice for people that don't know the abbreviations: R&R Rt Rear ...... etc...

    I interpreted from your post that you are knowledgeable, honest, and hard working. The nasty customers may not appreciate it, but the other customers do.

    IVE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT JUST THANK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH EVERTHING BUT HERE IS WHAT I STARTED DOING IF I GAVE THAM THE BILL AND THEY TILL ME THEY CANT PAY FOR IT THAM I JUST SAY OK AND GO TAKE MY PART BACK OFF AND I TILL THAM SORRY BUT WHAN YOU CAN PAY FOR THE SERVICE GAVE ME A CALLAND I BET THEY WILL GET YOU THE MONEY IN ABOUT 2 SEC BECOUSE IVE HAD IT HAPPEN A NUMBER OF TIMES,AND ANOTHER THING I DO IS TILL THAM WHATS WRONG AND THIS IS WHAT ITS GOING TO COST TOTALY AND WE NEED AT LEAST 1/2 OF THE BILL ARE THE PRICE OF THE PART BEFORE WE CAN DO ANYTHING AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AT ALL WITH THAM GAVING ME 1/2 UP FRONT AND THE OTHER 1/2 WHAN THE JOB IS DONE.AND IF THEY DONT WHANT TO DO THAT LET THAM CALL SOMEONE ELLS BECOUSE THEY ARE NO GOOD ANY WAYS AND I BET THEY WILL PAY THE OTHER CAMPANY ARE CALL YOU BACK AS SOON AS THEY SEE WHAT THE OTHER GUY IS CHARGING.

    there are always "customers" that you can't please no matter what kind of price you charge. then there are the ones that will ride your hard earned money till doomsday. make notations for the next time they call(and they will} and schedule for 6 days latter . let the hacks have them for a while. who knows, they might even learn to appreciate quality.
    remember, with electronics; when its brown,its cooking and when its black, its done!!!

    Way to go. Those freeloaders ruin it for everyone. HVAC company gets cheated and has to raise prices for the paying customers.

    But then down the street there's the old lady glad to see ya....... don't forget them.......and I think I need a beer after hearin he had one of my weeks.
