Panel upgrade

We have a customer that has old carrier vessels with two 1250 ton YKs adapted to it. Currently the compressors have a single line panel, they want to upgrade but do not want to use York panels. I have MCS controls looking to build a panel but they are telling me the only hang up is with the proximity sensor. I am not familuar with the limit switch style thrust protection but that style would eliminate the problem mcs is having with the proximity probe. My question would be is it possible to convert an older style YK using the proximity sensor/hi speed drain line to the limit switch style.
