    Virus

My email account at yahoo has been invaded by a virus.

If you get an email from me "benncool" at yahoo don't open the link. It saids that I have invited you to view this link. When you open the link it goes to spam. SO DON'T OPEN ANY LINK SENT FROM MY EMAIL ADDRESS.

Apparently, this has been sent to everyone in my address book.

What a mess. I'm not quite sure how to straighten it out yet.

This is just an attempt to stop it from spreading.

more than likely its adware and there are a number of excellent free programs to fix it.

    malwareanti-bytes is excellent.

Happened to everyone I know too. Myself included. That computer is in the shop right now being debugged. The tech said, lot's of garbage going on inside.
Probably should change all your passwords pronto.

Yup... happening to several as our admin account received a few.

    Two ways to help

Get rid of the yahoo.com email address and go Gmail. Yahoo has an
issue with hackers grabbing your email addy and taking over. There is
nothing you can do when that happens. Changing your password has no
effect. They clone your account. It's gone and can't be undone.

Download the free version of Malwarebytes

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_pro

When installing it don't use the trial version, that limits you to 30
days on the full version, the freeware version is just as good. Run it
in Full Scan. If you can run it on your computer in Safe Mode; even better.

    Also...

If you have an Android phone and opened or went to a bad link a
malware product grabs your email function and spreads the infection to
your contact list. The only way to get rid of it is to restore your
    phone back to factory.
